We are very happy to welcome you to a special event taking place within the Ranelagh Arts Festival this year.  Our very own ‘Ranelagh Arts film festival’ , promoting local, national and international film-makers.

This May, the Ranelagh Arts Festival will bring film lovers together for an exciting two-day celebration of independent and emerging filmmaking. Hosted in an intimate local cinema, the festival will showcase a curated programme of short films on day one (Sun, May 10th) and short documentaries on day two (Sun, May 17th), highlighting fresh voices from local, national, and international creators.

More than just screenings, the festival is designed to be a shared social experience. Audiences can take part in live Q&A sessions with filmmakers, vote for their favourite films, join fun film-themed quizzes, and connect with fellow attendees in relaxed social spaces throughout the venue. Whether you’re a dedicated film enthusiast, a student, an aspiring creative, or simply curious to discover something new, the festival offers a welcoming space to watch, discuss, and celebrate film together.

By focusing on conversation, connection, and community, this new local festival promises a memorable and engaging experience in our very own Ranelagh — growing a welcoming and vibrant film-making hub.

Submission Deadline: February 28th

Please note, the submission deadline for entry to the festival is soon approaching.

A subscription to Ranelagh Arts includes a free submission to the festival. Local film-makers in Ranelagh are encouraged to submit. We would love to showcase your work alongside our national and international artists!

Ticket purchases will become available closer to the event date.
