About the Programme:

Ranelagh Arts is inviting artists and artist-led groups to propose exhibitions for our 2027/2028 visual arts programme. Each selected exhibition will run for approximately one month (including turnaround and install) during 2027/2028.

We welcome proposals from artists at all stages of their careers, working across all contemporary visual art forms. We are particularly interested in proposals that demonstrate curiosity and experimentation and a willingness to engage with the local context and community. We’re looking for proposals which

  • Support artists to develop their practice and experiment with exhibition making

  • Create opportunities for audience engagement and participation

  • Respond to or create dialogue with the local context

We are open to a wide range of visual art practices, including painting, sculpture, installation, photography, moving image, performance, sound, socially engaged practice, interdisciplinary and participatory work.

Community & Engagement

Selected artists will be invited to develop an engagement element alongside their exhibition. This might include an artist talk, workshop, discussion, performance, screening, publication, participatory activity or another form of public engagement.
