Historical Talk Ranelagh Arts

PLUNKETT AND DILLON – TWO ROUTES FOR THE NEW STATE.

Honor O Brolchain will present the first historical talk at Ranelagh Arts.

Gerry Plunkett and Tommy Dillon married on Easter Sunday 1916.

She was the sister of 1916 leader Joseph (Mary) Plunkett and acted as his

Aide de Camp and he was the Chemical Advisor for the Rising.

Despite their similar ideas they fought regularly over the dinner-table as to how Ireland should proceed.

With complimentary contemporary photos in a PowerPoint presentation, this is a view of their contributions to all that followed.
