A Solo Retrospective of Sergio Susperregui

6 – 26 March 2026

Join us at Ranelagh Arts for Tango, a powerful solo retrospective celebrating the work of Sergio Susperregui.

🗓 Opening Reception: Friday 6 March

🕕 6:00pm – 8:00pm

📍 Ranelagh Arts

Born in Buenos Aires, Susperregui studied Fine Art at the Escuela Nacional de Bellas Artes Manuel Belgrano. His surrealist work unfolds as both personal diary and love letter to his native city — expressed through layered colour, instinctive mark-making, and materials close at hand including newspapers, notebooks, and magazines.

Improvising like a jazz musician, Susperregui paints with emotion and spontaneity. His work pulses with the rhythm of Tango — infused with sensuality, memory, and tension — walking a fine line between the permissible and the forbidden. Each piece invites the viewer into an intimate, provocative visual narrative.
