Bio:

Inspired by the colour, energy and DIY attitude of punk – Barry Delaney fled the grey Dublin of the early 80s to travel the world. He fell in love with film photography and earned a living carrying out various manual and technical jobs. He also got married and divorced. He then began taking pictures again, starting on the streets of Dublin-a place well familiar to him. He has since moved on to other parts of Ireland and across the pond to America.
In 2008, Delaney won the TG4 Irish photographer of the 21st Century. He has had 4 solo exhibitions in Dublin, and been selected for various group shows. He has self-published 4 books including Americans Anonymous. He now produces and makes documentaries about real life in Ireland today. Delaney: “Creativity is that magic that creates something personal and beautiful out of nothing.”
